Terms of Service
These Terms explain the rules for using Logalyst and the responsibilities that come with an account or workspace.1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Logalyst about your use of the Logalyst website, applications, and related services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account, accepting an invitation, submitting through a contribution link, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy.
If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organisation. In that case, “you” includes the organisation.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Logalyst. If the law where you live requires a higher minimum age or parental consent for online services, that requirement also applies. You must be legally able to enter into this agreement.
The Service is not designed for emergency response, medical diagnosis, regulated professional advice, or any use where a delay, error, or interruption could cause death, personal injury, or serious damage.
3. Accounts and security
You must provide accurate account information and keep it reasonably current. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account and for protecting your password, sign-in method, devices, and contribution-link tokens.
Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account or workspace has been accessed without permission. We may ask you for information reasonably needed to confirm account ownership.
4. Workspaces, members, and permissions
Logalyst provides personal and shared workspaces. Workspace owners and administrators control membership, invitations, and permissions. Members may be able to view, add, change, archive, or manage content according to the access granted to them.
If you own or administer a shared workspace, you are responsible for choosing appropriate access, having a lawful reason to collect information from members and contributors, and telling them how their information will be used. Removing a person’s access does not automatically remove records they previously submitted or actions already recorded.
Contribution links and assigned requests may allow other people to submit records. Treat each link as a credential and share it only with its intended audience.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the logs, records, files, report definitions, and other content that you submit to the Service (“Your Content”). These Terms do not transfer ownership of Your Content to Logalyst.
You give Logalyst a limited, worldwide licence to host, store, copy, process, transmit, display, and back up Your Content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Service, follow your instructions, and meet legal obligations. This licence ends when the content is deleted from our systems, subject to reasonable backup, security, and legal-retention periods.
You are responsible for Your Content and must have the rights and permissions needed to collect, upload, use, and share it. Do not use Logalyst to store information that you are prohibited from handling or that requires safeguards the Service does not claim to provide.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to:
- break the law, infringe another person’s rights, or facilitate fraud, harassment, abuse, or exploitation;
- collect or disclose personal information without an appropriate right or lawful basis;
- upload malware, interfere with the Service, bypass access controls, probe for vulnerabilities without permission, or place unreasonable load on our systems;
- send spam or use contribution links for deceptive or unsolicited collection;
- reverse engineer or copy the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- resell or provide the Service as your own product unless we agree in writing; or
- use automated means to access the Service in a way that is not documented or approved.
We may investigate suspected misuse and take proportionate action to protect people, workspaces, and the Service.
7. Analyst features
Analyst features can help prepare editable logs, reports, and Hubs or answer questions using bounded workspace aggregates. Outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your circumstances. You must review outputs before relying on or applying them.
Analyst is not a substitute for professional, medical, legal, financial, safety, or compliance advice. It does not make unconfirmed product changes. You remain responsible for decisions, saved configurations, and uses of any output.
8. Paid plans, billing, and cancellation
Current plan prices, billing intervals, and included capacity are shown on the Pricing page. Taxes may be added where required. Paid subscriptions renew automatically for the selected interval until cancelled, unless your checkout terms say otherwise.
Payments are processed by our payment provider. You authorise the applicable charges and must keep billing information current. You can manage or cancel a paid subscription through the billing portal made available in your account. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise, charges already paid are non-refundable.
If a payment fails or a subscription ends, your plan may return to Free. Existing content remains readable, but actions that would increase usage may be restricted until usage fits the current plan or the plan is changed.
9. Availability and changes
We aim to keep Logalyst reliable, but the Service is provided on an “as available” basis. Maintenance, security work, provider failures, internet conditions, or events outside our reasonable control may cause interruptions or data-processing delays.
We may change, add, or remove Service features and limits. If a change materially reduces a paid plan during its current billing period, we will take reasonable steps to give notice or provide an appropriate remedy where required by law.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and may cancel a paid subscription through your account. Contact us if you need help with account closure or a copy of your data.
We may limit or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address a security risk, legal requirement, unpaid charge, harmful activity, or material breach of these Terms. We may terminate access for a serious or repeated breach. Where practical and lawful, we will give notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
11. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Logalyst makes no warranty that the Service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for every purpose, or that any report or Analyst output will be accurate or complete. Templates and examples are starting points, not professional recommendations.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Subject to that, Logalyst will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential loss, or for lost profit, revenue, goodwill, opportunity, or anticipated savings arising from use of the Service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Logalyst’s total liability arising out of the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or US $100. This limit does not reduce any mandatory consumer rights.
13. General terms
If part of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining parts continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a term is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a reorganisation, financing, merger, acquisition, or sale of the Service, provided your rights are not materially reduced.
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any checkout terms presented to you form the agreement about the Service. Applicable mandatory law and the courts that have jurisdiction under that law will govern disputes. No separate governing-law clause is stated until the Service operator’s legal jurisdiction has been formally confirmed.
We may update these Terms. We will post the revised version and update its effective date. We will take reasonable steps to notify account holders before a material change takes effect.
