Privacy Policy
This Policy explains what information Logalyst handles, why it is used, and the choices available to you.1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Logalyst website, applications, and related services (the “Service”). It applies when you browse public pages, create or use an account, participate in a workspace, submit a record through a contribution link, contact us, or use a paid plan.
For personal workspaces, Logalyst generally determines how account and service information is processed. For shared workspaces, the workspace owner may determine why records are collected and who can access them. If an organisation invited you or asked you to submit a record, contact that organisation about its own privacy practices as well as contacting us about operation of the Service.
2. Information we collect
Account and profile information
We collect information such as username, display name, email address, date of birth, password credentials in protected form, sign-in provider details, profile image choices, account status, plan, and workspace memberships. If you use Google sign-in, we receive account information that Google makes available for the sign-in flow.
Logs, records, and workspace content
We process the names, descriptions, schemas, fields, records, revisions, files, photos, reports, Hub configurations, contribution links, permissions, and related metadata that you or other authorised people add to a workspace. Record metadata may include submitter attribution and submission time.
Payments and commercial communications
Our payment provider processes payment-card and billing details. Logalyst receives information needed to manage the subscription, such as customer and subscription references, plan, billing status, invoices, and payment outcomes. If you contact sales or support, we collect the contact details and message you provide.
Device, use, and security information
We process information such as IP address, approximate country, browser and device details, requested pages, timestamps, session and anonymous-client identifiers, feature events, errors, security signals, CAPTCHA results, and logs needed to operate and protect the Service.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- create accounts, authenticate users, and maintain sessions;
- provide personal and shared workspaces, logs, records, Hubs, reports, files, contributions, notifications, and support;
- apply workspace permissions and keep record attribution and revision history;
- process subscriptions, enforce plan capacity, and communicate about billing;
- send service messages such as verification, invitations, assigned requests, completion notices, and capacity alerts;
- secure the Service, prevent abuse, investigate faults, and enforce our Terms;
- understand aggregate product use and improve reliability and usability; and
- comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
The legal basis for processing depends on where you are. It may include performing our contract with you, pursuing legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, complying with law, and consent where the law requires it.
4. Shared workspaces and contributors
Workspace owners and administrators decide who is invited and which logs members can access. Content and attribution may be visible to other members according to those permissions. A workspace owner may retain records after a member leaves where needed for the workspace’s history and legitimate purposes.
A collection link or assigned request can be used to submit a record without becoming a workspace member. The workspace receives the submitted values and relevant submission metadata. Assigned requests may require a particular signed-in account or may be sent to an external email address.
If you put personal information about someone else into Logalyst, you are responsible for having an appropriate reason and giving any notice required by law.
5. Analyst processing
When you use Analyst, the Service processes your prompt, recent conversation context, accessible log schemas, report definitions, and bounded aggregate results needed to respond. Analyst is restricted to the active workspace and is not designed to retrieve private files or expose record-level text in its answers.
Analyst conversations may be retained temporarily in your browser session and processed by service providers that help deliver the feature. Do not include sensitive personal information in prompts unless it is necessary and appropriate for your use. Analyst outputs can be inaccurate and should be reviewed.
8. Retention
We retain account and workspace information while it is needed to provide the Service. Record revisions and attribution are intentionally retained as part of workspace history until the relevant content or workspace is deleted, subject to permissions and product behavior.
After deletion or account closure, information may remain for a limited period in backups, fraud and security records, billing records, support history, or records we must keep by law. Retention periods vary according to the information, its purpose, and technical or legal requirements. We remove or anonymise information when it is no longer reasonably needed.
9. Security
We use technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect information, including access controls, private asset delivery, protected credentials, scoped permissions, and security monitoring. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep account credentials and contribution links secure and contact us if you suspect unauthorised access.
10. International processing
The Service and its providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use contractual or other recognised safeguards for international transfers. The exact protections available depend on the countries involved and applicable law.
11. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent. You may also have the right to complain to a privacy regulator.
You can update some account or workspace information in the Service, manage a subscription from Billing, leave workspaces where the feature is available, and contact us for other requests. We may need to verify your identity and consider the rights of workspace owners and other people before completing a request. Some information may be retained where the law permits or requires it.
12. Children
Logalyst is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly allow them to create accounts. A higher minimum age or parental-consent requirement may apply in some places. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information contrary to these requirements.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy as the Service and applicable requirements change. We will publish the revised version with a new effective date and take reasonable steps to notify account holders of material changes.
14. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected]. Because the Service operator’s registered legal identity and postal address have not been stated here, this Policy must be updated with those details if applicable law requires them before launch in a particular market.
